If you’re familiar with us, you know we have new inventory in the works. If you are new to OTE, then welcome. My name Is Cris; I am the booking director extraordinaire at On Time Elite Celebrity & Production Bus Rentals LLC. I have been with On Time for 11 years, and in those years, we have made waves in the entertainment industry. We are the ninjas who come in, fix everything, and help our clients host the most successful photoshoots, campaigns, events, and concerts on the East Coast. In this week’s blog, I will vent about the hurdles we have encountered and the challenges we’ve had to overcome to complete our units. The new releases are right around the corner, but sometimes we can’t help but feel like the corner is just so dang far away.
Obstacles We’re Tackling as We Create New Units
For starters, like our wonderful clients, we have to budget. We budget our vehicles down to the last stitch, from laminates and tech to personnel, contractors, and vendors. And like many of our clients, we are disappointed when we go over budget. Although we allocate a certain amount for specific elements, it happens too often that what we prefer leans more toward quality. High quality means a heavier price tag. Why, oh why, must the good things in life be so expensive? While we do our best to stay within budget, our goal to achieve the highest quality compels us to go for better materials. More often than not, those budgets are expanding.
Budgets and Delays
While budgets set the structure for how and what we order, we have hit significant delays with vendors once those orders are made. We don’t know if it’s the pandemic or just a run of bad luck. We have such a militant way of being–everything is done promptly and correctly. It’s in our name: On Time! But most of the things we order are custom or imported, and we’ve had many weeks lapse while our units wait idly while we wait for deliveries.
The hurdle we love the most (and I don’t mean this in a sarcastic way) is the one we face internally. When we deconstruct the units, we are like surgeons being careful and precise. We don’t want to mess with the primary functions of the bus. But we do sometimes alter the exterior. We love to make them better, to elevate them to the standard of masterpieces, from lighting to creating walls that will withstand elements like the brazen cold winds of the winter or the sweltering heats of the summer. Internally we have to think of what products can best achieve our ultimate goal but also be durable and sustainable.
Our New Units are Fresh and Unparalleled
While anyone anywhere faces obstacles going into unknown territory, we look at those hurdles like assurance. The assurance of knowing that while there may be delays, there may be obstacles we super exceed. We bring to the market products that are unparalleled, new, fresh, and outstanding.
