In this week’s blog, we’re tackling questions we get from clients in the production world. Over the years we’ve received hundreds and thousands of calls, and several common questions come up again and again. We hope that by providing answers to these questions, we can save you some time as you shop around. And don’t forget–if you ever have questions, you’re more than welcome to call us. We’re here to support your production so you can focus on creating your best work.
1. We need desk space for our work. Do you have any recommendations?
Absolutely. Again it all depends on the information you provide our team, so be as detailed as possible and as honest as you can be. But if you have a large production team, you’ll need as much desk and counter space as possible, and we’ll put you in one of our larger units. In addition to desk space, these units have ample seating, perfect for those on your production team who prefer to work from their phones or tablets.
2. We’d like to see our production footage inside the motorhome.Do these units have the ability to run a live feed?
Yes, of course. But again, let us know about this requirement before production day comes around. If you let us know, we can have the monitors inside the unit prepped so you can stream via HDMI connection.
3. Our producer wants to make edits but will use multiple devices. Do you provide additional power? Or is that something we need to provide?
Honestly, you won’t have much power to pull from the vehicle itself, which is why we highly recommend either renting a silent generator from us or providing one yourself. This way you won’t face the challenge of tripping the power (which can cause delays and headaches). Remember, our vehicles do not contain an unlimited amount of power, and the equipment involved in these productions tend to pull a lot of power.
4. Do you have any units with two bathrooms? We want to divide production from crew but give them both a restroom on location.
Yes, we do, and it’s the only unit of its kind on the entire East Coast. It gives you two built in restrooms but the back restrooms entry point is just for the restroom with separate entry to the main unit.
Of course, if you have any specific questions that need to be answered, do not hesitate to reach us at 800.779.6642, or fill out our jotform with your project details. One of our team members will help you find the ideal unit for your production.
